This just in from Out Knight Laura Slattery, Class of 1988 in the Bay Area:
Join the Women of Color Resource Center in their “Do Tell” storytelling training and retreat where you can create a digital story of your time in the military focusing on the impact of the military’s policies and how they affected you. The storytelling training is for Women of Color LGBTQ veterans, White GLBTQ veteran allies, and Women of Color Straight veteran allies of the U.S. military. It is in Oakland 27-31 May.
This “Do Tell” Project is a great counter to the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy. Check out the stories from last year at Colored Girls
The Resource Center can cover all tuition and travel costs, though donations are welcome and encouraged. For more info contact: Maryam Roberts, 510-444-2700 x305, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
